A bit about TheBoxbreakers group history which has led to the creation of this forum. TheBoxbreakers.com is a website that we have maintained to organize our group breaks for the past 5+ years. Over that period of time we have depended on other forum sites to host our break threads until finally we decided that we should dedicate the time to create a new forum site that would give us a permanant home for not just our group breaks, but also a place where we can encourage others to start their own breaks, share their personal collections, or just provide a place to chat with other collectors about the hobby we all love.

I invite you to take a look over the entire forum just to get the lay of the land. Take a look at the rules of the forum as while we are all hopefully here to have a good time we do need to establish some guidelines to make sure that these forums remain a respectful, productive, and positive place to visit. We also have the Suggestions forum as we admit we are new to running the show and will always be interested in ways we can improve the site so please feel free to speak out for changes you'd like to see. Then take a look over our Introductions forum so you can learn a bit about some of the members that joined before you and feel free to add your own introduction to give people an idea of who you are, what you collect, etc.. We also have the "Shout Out" forum which is intended to give props to anyone deserving of it based on their sending you a freebie, helping you out with information that may have helped your collection, or any reason you feel that they deserve a shout out! Be sure to also check out the Contests forum as everybody loves a chance at some free cards and you never know when there will be a new contest announced. Our members are encouraged to run their own contests or giveaways as well to help build some bonding in our small little collecting community. One of the best parts of collecting is being able to show off and share a new addition to your collection, a steal you just made on Ebay, or what's in all those bubble mailers in your mailbox. For that check out our Show it Off / Mailday forum where you are encouraged to share scans of all the new stuff that you bring in to your collection!

A big pat of our forum is dedicated to the individual sports so for each of the 4 sports you'll find sections to discuss the sport or hobby, a Marketplace to buy, sell, or trade cards of that sport, and also opportunities to host or participate in group breaks. While we run our own group breaks we still encourage others to try on the hosting duties by proposing your own group breaks. It's a great way to become involved in the site but also please understand that you may need to start small and grow some "street cred" before others may agree to join, but you're welcome to post as we want to build our memberships and inviting new members to participate in group breaks is a great way to do that!
