Feb Boxbreakers Group Break Night Contest Summary - COMPLETE

Hey guys...time to roll out some contests as part of our Boxbreakers Group Break Night coming this Saturday! We have 4 breaks on tap for the night with almost $10,000 in cards ready to be ripped! As part of the evening we will be having contests for both the folks who are participating in the breaks as well as those of you out there who are just watching. Who knows, you may start the evening as an observer but find yourself with a free team in one of our breaks. The first step to being eligible to winning any of our Break Night contests is to register here on our forum site. Once you do that, you are free to participate in any number of the activities or contests. In fact I encourage as many of you to start up your own contests to add to the festivities but since the forum is brand new and we need to drive some traffic over here I figure we should get the ball rolling. Besides, I am looking forward to making the Boxbreakers Group Break Night a monthly party worthy of your attendance even if you aren't joining us with a team. So here's a summary of contests with the possibility of a few others thrown in amongst the videos during the break itself.

Registration Contest: It just doesn't get any easier than this one. If you are a registered member of the forum, you are eligible to win and this is for a couple of the best prizes offered all night...two FREE spots in the Hobby and Hobby #2 group breaks! You won't know until the break is about to start so the requirement is that you are registered, and on the forum site just prior to the break starting. That's a $50 value for each of those prizes and if your team pans out with a big hit or two you could walk away a big winner just for showing up! This one is open to all registrants whether you are already a participant or not so even for those already in the break, you could add another team just by being here on break night!

Pick the #1/1 Contest: Each month we pull at least one or two #1/1 cards from our breaks. This contest is another easy one... just name the player that you think we will pull a serial numbered #1/1 card of on break night. If we pull more than one we may have more than one winner however only one guess per person and only the first person to guess the player will be the winner. In other words, in a tie it's the first person to have guessed that player. The prize for this one will be determined based on our number of winners but will be a small sample of hits.

Essay Contest; Your best Group Break experience. This is for THE GRAND PRIZE... a FREE team slot in our Ultra High End Break. A $200 value that you can pick up just for being a registered forum member and being present on the forum site just prior to the break. Stop by to watch and you could suddenly end up a participant getting every card pulled from your team with about $4,500 in cards being broken in this break alone! So how do you win...just enter our essay contest where you just need to write a story about your greatest group break experience. Keep in mind that sucking up in this one is not necessary. I expect than many of you participate in multiple group breaks with different hosts so your story does not have to be about a break you had with the boxbreakers, but truly your best experience. That can mean how you got in to the break, how you got a lucky draw on a draft or random team assignment, a steal on a draft format, or the more obvious such as the best pull. In all cases it is best to add a scan but the site requires a 7 day waiting period before posting scans so you may be restricted depending on when you join. For a $200 FREE slot in our Ultra High End break, you may just want to check that one out!

It's BREAK NIGHT! Last chance to get registered for one of the free slots in our breaks. There will be 3 winners as I am adding a slot in our High End break tonight as well. All you have to do is register on the site, and be present just prior to each break.

The winner of the free slot for the Hobby break will be chosen at about 4:55pm(ct).
The winner of the free slot for the Hobby #2 break will be chosen at about 6:40pm(ct)
The winner of the free slot for the High End break will be chosen at about 8:10pm(ct)

The winner of the free slot in our Ultra High End break will be the winner of the Essay Contest in the other thread. That winner will be announced just prior to the break at about 9:25pm(ct)
